Special Announcement
Sultran Ltd. Joins WESTAC
Vancouver, BC – September 1, 2019 – Sultran, a long-standing member of the Canadian transportation and logistics sector and owner of the world’s largest sulphur export terminal, is the newest addition to the Western Transportation Advisory Council (WESTAC).
For over 40 years, Sultran has been Canada’s largest exporter of sulphur – moving product from Alberta and Northeastern British Columbia to tidewater. The company has been a significant investor in rail cars and terminal facilities to increase efficiency and reliability for its customers and to reduce environmental impacts for the communities in which it operates. More recently, Sultran and its subsidiary, Pacific Coast Terminals (PCT), have been offering their logistics knowledge, intellectual capital and assets to provide service to other resource companies.
Sultran CEO, Wade Leslie, notes “as we diversify our business, connecting with transportation leaders at WESTAC is important. Bulk commodities anchor the western transportation system, and I’m pleased to bring the sulphur perspective to conversations at the Council.”
Oksana Exell, WESTAC President & CEO, is pleased to welcome Sultran back to the WESTAC forum. “Sulphur is an important part of the bulk commodity trade in Western Canada, and it’s important to have key users of the system at the table.”
Wade Leslie, President & CEO, will be the Official Representative to the Council. The Alternate Representative will be Greg Anderson, Director of Operations.
