Minister Anita Anand Takes on Internal Trade Portfolio

In today's cabinet shuffle, Transport Minister Anita Anand has also been appointed to the portfolio of internal trade.

The Honourable Anita Anand was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Oakville in 2019. She has previously served as the President of the Treasury Board, Minister of National Defence and Minister of Public Services and Procurement.

Other appointments relevant to WESTAC members:

• Dominic LeBlanc becomes Minister of Finance 
• Steven MacKinnon becomes Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour (retains responsibility for labour).
• Ginette Petitpas Taylor becomes President of the Treasury Board.
• Terry Duguid becomes Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada
